The excess enthalpies of liquid alloys in the ternary systems Ge-In-Te and
Ge-Sb-Te were determined in a heat flow calorimeter at 1073 K along the sec
tions Ge0.5In(Sb)(0.5) -Te and for GeyIn(Sb)(1-y)-Te with y = 0.2, 0.5 and
0.8 at 1173 K. The largest values of the exothermic enthalpies are found in
both systems along a line from GeTe to M2Te3 (M = In, Sb). The association
model was applied for the analytical description of the melt in the binary
tellurium systems. Additional ternary interaction parameters had to be use
d for the calculation of excess enthalpies. They were obtained by fitting c
urves to the experimental data with the least squares method.
