Abstract
mRNA encoding histamine H-1, and Pi, receptors were detected in the human n asal mucosa using reverse transcriptase-polymerase chain reaction. The poss ibility of local release in connection with specific target receptors sugge sts a role for histamine in the regulation of vascular tone, glandular secr etion and epithelial functions.
