Abstract
Partial molal (or molar) volumes (PMV) of normal chain alcohols (n=1-5 ) in aqueous ethanol have been calculated using ''Hard-sphere mixture model''. The calculated PMV have been plotted as function of ethanol m olefraction and compared with the experimental ones. The results are d iscussed on the basis of molecular structure and solute-solvent intera ction.
