Abstract
In this paper, a composting test on laboratory scale at 28 degrees C and 98 % relative humidity was developed to determine the weight loss of polyester amide (PEA) films as well as cotton and flax fiber reinforced composites w ith different thickness (40-2000 mu m). The surface of the samples and the microorganisms were photographically documented. The aim of this research i s to determine the degree and rate of biodegradability of PEA and its compo sites with natural fibers in dependence on the thickness of the samples.
