Abstract
Sixty-two human squamous cell lung carcinomas were analyzed for expression of various angiogenic growth factors and their receptors using immunohistoc hemistry. The data were correlated with xenotransplantability of these tumo rs in nude mice. None of the factors investigated did show an association w ith xenotransplantability. However, there was a trend that specimens lackin g VEGF165 were established as xenografts at a higher incidence (52%) than t hose expressing VEGF165 (39%).
