Abstract
Tortula brevissima is recorded for the first time in Italy, where it was co llected in S Calabria on badlands; it was previously known from some territ ories of Middle East and Western Europe. Ecological, phytosociological, cho rological remarks are reported. (C) ADAC/Elsevier, Paris.
