A Cu-Cr zone plate operating at a wavelength of 2.29 Angstrom is prepared b
y the method of magnetron sputtering. A special setup for X-ray and optical
testing of zone plates is designed and constructed. The effect of focusing
of the hard X-ray radiation by a layer zone plate is attained. Special sof
tware for simulating imaging properties of zone plates is written. The expe
rimental data are compared with the results of numerical simulation.
