Abstract
The lattice dynamics of Cs5H3(SO4)(4) . 0.5H(2)O (PCHS) crystals is conside red using the original data obtained by the authors and other published dat a. As a result, the occurrence of a phase transition in the vicinity of 360 K in a protonated PCHS crystal and the absence of such transition in a deu terated PCHS crystal are assumed. The latter can indicate a strong isotopic effect for hydrogen atoms.
