Abstract
We have used an antisense retrovirus strategy to test the role of pl-integr in in the early period of clone development in the embryonic chick neural r etina. Analyses of clone size and dispersion demonstrated a marked effect o f reducing the levels of expressed pl-integrin on this critical phase of re tina cell and tissue development.
