Abstract
The measurement error of the Carlson-Parkin estimator, which is often used to quantify qualitative survey data, can be derived through Monte Carlo sim ulations. Based on such simulations, it is possible to check the estimator' s sensitivity to mis-specifications, and to improve its performance. (C) 19 99 Elsevier Science S.A. All rights reserved.
