Abstract
Using UV-vis absorption spectroscopy, a study on the electrochemical polyme rization of some Schiffs base-type monomers containing pyrrole moieties was performed. Similar data were obtained for pyrrole polymerization too. Some H-1-NMR spectra are reported and discussed. The spectral changes of the po lymerization solutions point out distinctly stages of the electrooxidative polymerization process. The chemical structure of the monomers influences t he electronic absorption spectra of the polymers. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
