Abstract
The influence of carbonization rate, coal charge packing density and additi on of petroleum coke on the structure of 1800 degrees C solid residues from poorly caking coals was investigated by X-ray diffraction, An elective eff ect of each enumerated factor on the structural changes in the 1800 degrees C samples was established. The experimental procedure of X-ray diffraction (002) line profile analysis was used. The transformation of the (100) line profile, namely, the initiation of (101) maximum, which testified the thre e-dimensional ordering of carbon structure, was also taken into account.
