Abstract
Fiber-optic transmitters and receivers compatible to surface-mount devices were developed in the bit rate range from 1.5 M to 622 Mb/s, They employ no vel electric circuit design such as feed forward temperature compensation, as well as passive alignment technology for optical components. Developed t ransmitters and receivers are applicable for mass production of SONET/SDH e quipment.
