Abstract
For the Ag-sheathed Bi2Sr2CaCu2O8 tapes, the high Bi2Sr2CaCu2O8 phase purit y with an appropriate oxygen concentration and excellent grain alignment ar e responsible for high critical currents. Many fabrication parameters influ ence the Bi2Sr2CaCu2O8 phase content and microstructure of the tapes, which have been investigated by many researchers. In this paper, we present resu lts of AgMg-sheathed Bi2Sr2CaCU2O8 heat treatment optimization and characte rization. With the help of physical analytical methods such as ESEM, and XR D, the melt temperature is related to the transport measurements.
