Thermodynamically extremely stable alkylperoxo-iron(III) complexes have bee
n prepared for the first time from reaction of the ternary iron(III) comple
x with a tripodal pyridylamine ligand with alkylperoxide in MeCN. These com
plexes have been characterized on the basis of the electronic absorption, E
SR, resonance Raman, and ESI mass spectra and cyclic voltammetry.
