Abstract
Reagent indicator paper (RIB sheets and strips) and triple laminated strips in which reagent indicator paper is supported on a polymer (RIP-Peroxide-T est) were proposed. With RIB strips, hydrogen peroxide can be determined us ing a photocolorimeter at 660 nm, and, with RIP-Peroxide-Test, using a colo r comparator or by diffuse reflection spectroscopy using a minireflectomete r with a light-emitting diode (625 nm). The analytical ranges for H2O2 in w ater and air were found to be 0.5-20 and 1-10 mg/L, respectively; the time of analysis is 1-10 min. The minimum error of the visual test method is 40% ; the relative standard deviations of photometric tests were no worse than 25% at n = 3 and P = 0.95. When specially packed and stored, RIB retains it s activity for no less than three years. Test procedures were verified in t he analysis of medicinal preparations, organic solvents, and in controlling the sterilization of solid samples in a chamber with hydrogen peroxide.
