An automated installation for the direct atomic emission determination of s
ilver, gold, and platinum-group metals in geological and geochemical materi
als with software for automated data acquisition and handling is designed a
nd developed. The installation consists of a DFS-458 diffraction spectrogra
ph, a MAES-10 multichannel analyzer of emission spectra, and a dual-jet pla
smatron. A library of spectral lines of almost all elements excited in the
dual-jet plasmatron is compiled.
