The latent structure of the Children's Category Test (CCT; Bell, 1993) was
evaluated in the standardization sample, with separate principal factor ana
lyses for the younger subgroup (ages 5-8 years; CCT-1) and the older subgro
up (ages 9-16 years; CCT-2). At both age levels, a two-factor solution was
found. It is concluded that the CCT is a multifactorial instrument, and tha
t clinical interpretation should consider the diversity of dimensions asses
sed by this test.
