Abstract
Temperature-dependent magnetostatic spin wave modes spectra in a ferromagne tic thin film of yttrium-iron-garnet are investigated by means of conventio nal and photothermally modulated ferromagnetic resonance techniques. Values for the anisotropy held are derived from the evaluation of resonance spect ra. In the wide range of temperature the resonance characteristics of spin wave modes spectra are consistent with the Damon-Eshbach theory. Close to t he Curie temperature they, however, strongly deviate from the theoretical p redictions. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
