Abstract
In our previous paper, we proposed a new morphological operation called ord ered greyscale erosion, where the structuring element has three greyscale l evels of (0, alpha, 1), and the choice of alpha must meet some conditions. In this paper, the area-encoding technique is used to code the structuring element so that the restriction to alpha is reduced. The corresponding opti cal setup is suggested, and the experimental results are also given.
