Abstract
The effects of high pressure on the magnetic structure of Tb0.76Y0.24 have been investigated by neutron diffraction using a clamp type high pressure c ell, Pressure was applied up to about 2.4 GPa and temperature, down to abou t 10 K, The magnetic structure of Tb0.76Y0.24 exhibits a helical phase both under high pressure and at ambient pressure, The helical pitch shows a loc k-in feature below about 100 K, With increasing pressure, the helical pitch is enhanced, and a lock-in feature at low temperature still remains, (C) 1 999 Elsevier Science Ltd.
