Abstract
The structure of a fullerenol hypercrosslinked poly(urethane-ether) elastom er has been characterized by small angle neutron scattering. The observed s cattering profile indicates an isotropic dispersion of the crosslinking age nts, fullerenols C-60(OH)(12), in the matrix of poly(urethane-ether) (PU). The mean spacing between the crosslinking sites, obtained from the correlat ion function is 150 Angstrom, which is related to the conformation of the P U arms in the network. The same elastomer has also been measured under an u niaxial stretch. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
