Abstract
The energy dependence of the nuclear level density in As-69 and Ge-70 has b een extracted from the first-step evaporation proton spectra in the reactio ns C-12 + Ni-58 and C-12 + Co-59 at E-beam = 36-60 MeV. Their comparison pr ovides information on the excitation energy dependence of the pairing and s hell effect over a wide range of similar to 5-24 MeV.
