Abstract
The results of crystal structure refinement applied to three polymorphic st ructure forms of BiLa2O4.5+delta and performed via x-ray and neutron diffra ction on powder samples are presented. The application and the comparison o f the results obtained by these methods allowed us to reveal certain struct ural peculiarities, i.e. the appearance of long-range ordering and the vari ety of superstructures formed. The origin of these phenomena lies in the sp ecific ordering of oxygen atoms.
