Abstract
Thick films of the YBa2Cu3O7-delta (YBCO) superconductor were prepared by u sing the electrophoretic deposition technique and a flexible wire as the su bstrate. The transition temperature of the wires was 91 K, the intragranula r magnetic critical current density J(cg)(mag) was about 10(5) A/cm(2) at 7 7 K in a weak field, and the transport J(c)(trans) was about 365 A/cm(2) at 77 K. We calculated the intergranular magnetic critical current J(cJ)(mag) and the activation energy from the AC-susceptibility measurements, and the ir values were about 444 A/cm(2) at 77 K and 2.02 eV, respectively.
