T. Graf et al., Soft magnetic properties of Fe(Cu,Nb)SiB alloys evidenced by Mossbauer experiments in radio frequency magnetic fields, NANOSTR MAT, 12(5-8), 1999, pp. 935-938
Conventional (transmission) Mossbauer effect investigations on alloys exhib
iting a nanostructure deliver valuable information about the alloys' micros
tructure. The application of a radio frequency (rf) magnetic field parallel
to the absorber plain causes the Mossbauer effect to become a very sensiti
ve tool for detecting soft magnetic properties. These features are clue to
two effects, the appearing of sidebands ill the spectra and the collapse of
the spectrum. We demonstrate the abilities of this measurement method comp
aring well-known results about coercivity with the information content of t
he Mossbauer spectra collected at different compositions of the Fe(Cu,Nb)Si
B alloys. (C) 1999 Acta Metallurgica Inc.
