Abstract
Results of TEM and HREM study of synthetic opals containing different guest materials embedded in their regularly distributed voids either by melt inj ection or by chemical route ave discussed. It was established that in a num ber of cases (besides HgSe and In as guest materials) one can fabricate rat her uniform 3D cluster lattices. Clusters in voids of opal have a single-cr ystal structure. Structural details of In cluster lattice are shown to resu lt in specific feature of superconducting parameter (critical magnetic fiel d) of In- particle array in the opal matrix.
