Abstract
Two patients presenting with an intrasellar epidermoid cyst and operated on through a transsphenoidal approach, are reported. Problems regarding pathological controversies about the differential diagno sis (particularly craniopharyngiomas) are addressed In order to establish t he adequate preoperative diagnosis, the interest of MRI is discussed.
