Abstract
We search for three-alpha resonances in C-12 by using the complex scal ing method in a microscopic cluster model. All experimentally known lo w-lying natural-parity states of C-12 are localized. For the first tim e we unambiguously show in a microscopic model that the O-2(+) state i n C-12, which plays an important role in stellar nucleosynthesis, is a genuine three-alpha resonance.
