Abstract
Ores, coal, graphite and soot particles, and oil and grease products are mo st widely spread technogenic components of the bottom sediments. A high lev el of pollution in the bottom sediments (25%) has been identified in the co astal zone of the industrial centres such as Mariupol', Taganrog and Yeysk. Annual loads of technogenic materials entering the bay area have been esti mated.
