Abstract
A model is proposed for the linear magnetoresistance recently observed in l ayered rare-earth diantimonides. It is based on a graphitelike energy spect rum with a small hopping between the layers and the assumption that the dis tance between the lowest-landau bands exceeds both the temperature and the bandwidth along the main axis.
