Abstract
We obtain two new spectral decompositions of the Renyi map, The first has e igenvalues 3(-n) and is associated with the Canter type observables. The se cond has eigenvalues 2(-n) and is associated with analytic observables with singularities at the boundary. We discuss the natural equivalence of dynam ical systems with respect to the approach to equilibrium. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
