Abstract
I describe a systematic method for characterizing the effects of difference s in u-v coverage in terms of inferred spectral gradients in interferometri c images. This method is directly applicable to optical acid radio interfer ometry; it is useful in situations when observations using scaled arrays ar e not feasible.
