Abstract
The crystal structure of LiCS4Zr3F17. HF is determined. The crystal data ar e as follows: a = 13.359(2), b = 11.485(2), c = 6.663(1) Angstrom, gamma = 110.42(2)degrees, Z = 2, space group Int, R = 0.042, R-w = 0.049. The struc ture consists of the infinite isolated anionic [Zr3F17](infinity)(5-) chain s, Cs+ and Li+ cations, and HF molecules. The coordination polyhedra of zirconium are a slightly distorted pentagonal bipyramid, monocapped trigonal prism (coordination number 7), and Chord do decahedron (coordination number 8).
