Sg. Pukhovskaya et al., Influence of the structure of zinc porphyrin complexes on their capabilityfor axial coordination, RUSS J C CH, 24(11), 1998, pp. 797-801
Equilibrium constants for extra coordination of the nitrogen-containing mol
ecules (pyridine, diethylamine, and ethylenediamine) to the zinc complexes
with cyclophan dimers [tetraphenylporphine acid 5, 15-di(o-methoxyphenyl)-3
,7,13,17-tetramethyl-2,8,12,18-tetraethylporphine derivatives and their mon
omeric and sterically hindered analogues] in weakly coordinating solvents (
benzene and chloroform) were measured. It was established that screening of
the coordination center and deformational distortions of the porphyrin mac
rocycle tangibly affect the stability of the axial complexes.
