Abstract
A new F-1 interspecific controlled hybrid of Eucalyptus tereticornis X Euca lyptus camaldulensis (Southern form) was produced during March, 1996 which showed hybrid vigour. Since de novo production of F-1 seed for raising F-1 plantation is not feasible, cumbersome and labour intensive, thus, an innov ative and effective approach to multiply this hybrid via tissue culture was applied to check segregation, retain hybrid vigour and evolve a protocol f or mass clonal multiplication.
