Abstract
The multiple risk theory of Coronary heart Disease (CHD) emphasizes the imp ortance of psychosocial risk factors. Psychological research found out a fu ndamental inner connection between type A behavior and compulsive behavior. New findings about workaholism realized compulsive behavior as a valid pre dictor for working addiction. Behavior modifications have major importance to prevent myocardial infarction. Sufficient intervention programs try to r educe type A or compulsive behavior and to establish alternative patterns o f behavior.
