Immediate-type hypersensitivity to vanilla

We report on a 25-year-old woman who developed 20 minutes after ingestion o f Muller Milch Vanille symptoms like erythema of the face, pressure of the ears, heat and deafness of the lips and gums, Immediate-type allergy to van illa was diagnosed by positive skin test and oral challenge. Our patient sh owed also a "celery-mugwort-spices syndrome" and a severe allergy to apples . A pollen-associated food allergy to vanilla is discussed.
