In this paper, we propose a new approach to develop a nonperturbative appro
ximate solution for the Thomas-Fermi equation. This approach rests on the r
ecently developed modification of the Adomian decomposition method. The ini
tial slope of the Thomas-Fermi potential y' (0) is computed by converting t
he obtained series solution into several diagonal Fade approximants. The pr
oposed scheme is presented in a general way so that it can he used in appli
