Abstract
We report the analysis of 1 hour's worth of RXTE data in which it was possi
ble to detect individual pulses from the Crab pulsar. These data demonstrat
e that the Crab pulsar X-ray pulses are steady at the level of 7%, and we s
uggest that the emitting region is likely to come from a region where the m
agnetic held is "stiff."
