Abstract
Selectivities of membrane potential changes for catecholamines and inorgani c cations were investigated with lipophilic derivatives of calix[6]arene an d related hosts incorporated in poly(vinyl chloride) (PVC) matrix liquid me mbranes. Homooxacalix[3]arene triether displayed an excellent selectivity f or dopamine against other catecholamines (adrenaline, noradrenaline) and al so against inorganic cations (K+, Na+).
