Abstract
The H-1 NMR method was applied for quantitative analysis of acetates, long chain fatty acids and phenols in a humus sample of municipal solid wastes a nd sludge mixture after methane fermentation. The percentage of acetate was determined as 1.63 +/- 0.06 %, phenol as 0.046 +/- 0.002 % anti unsaturate d fatty acids as 1.43 +/- 0.05 %. The average structural formula of fatty a cid anion was determined as CH3-(CH2)(4)-CH=CH-CH2-COO-. The water and chlo roform extracts of the sample were used. The method was found to be fast an d of enough accuracy (The magnitude of the relative error is 5%).
