The excited states of H-2(+) have been studied by threshold photoelectron s
pectroscopy. The relative intensities of these states with respect to that
of the H-2(+) ground state have been determined and compared with previous
measurements obtained. The mechanisms that lead to the formation of the exc
ited ionic states and to their appearance in the threshold spectra are disc
ussed. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
