P. Brodard et E. Vauthey, Determination of the energy of the (d,d) electronic state involved in the radiationless deactivation of photoexcited nickel tetraphenylporphine, CHEM P LETT, 309(3-4), 1999, pp. 198-208
The deactivation of the S-1(pi,pi*) excited state of nickel tetraphenylporp
hine has been investigated using various transient grating techniques. By m
easuring the density changes of the sample occurring during this process, t
he excited state, that is responsible for the ground state recovery time of
250 ps, was determined to lie 1.18 +/- 0.13 eV above the ground state. Thi
s value suggests that this slate is the (1)(d,d) state. (C) 1999 Elsevier S
