Abstract
We show how Boltzmann-Nordheim kinetic theory is modified by the existence of a Bose-Einstein condensate. The final result is a set of coupled equatio ns between the condensate and the normal (thermal) component of the gas. Th is system shows a possible exchange of mass between the condensate and the normal component through a kind of induced emission preserving the coherenc e of the condensate.
