In combining the heterobimetallic chemistry of silyl complexes with that of
phosphino enolate ligands, we present here the first: heterometallic compl
exes containing a chelating phosphino enolate ligand and describe the cryst
al structure of [NMe4] [(OC)(3){(MeO)(3)Si}Fe(mu-PPh2)Pt {Ph2PCH ... C(...
O)Ph}] (3e). The presence of the enolato function and the negative charge o
f complexes 3a-e make them good candidates for reactions with electrophiles
and we report preliminary results involving organic isocyanates. (C) Acade
