Abstract
Many scientific organizations have instituted awards for recognizing and en
couraging young scientists. CSIR Young Scientist Award aims at enabling the
awardees in achieving scientific advancement independently nt nn early age
. To see ns to what extent these objectives have been fulfilled, a question
naire was sent to 67 awardees. In this study their responses have been anal
ysed, both qualitatively and quantitatively, and examined in the concert of
objectives of the award.
