Abstract
The analytical performances of ionophore based potassium and calcium sensit ive membranes were tested under current control or following a DC current p retreatment. The effects of the direction and magnitude of the applied curr ent were evaluated on the response slopes, the detection limits and selecti vity coefficients. The results are discussed in the light of expectations a nd the theoretical and practical difficulties.
