Development environment for efficient DSP code generation

The increasing replacement of fixed function hardware with software driven DSP-based systems has introduced a new challenge to the EDA vendor companie s. It is a challenge that can be easily summarised as "provide simple to us e, high productivity, low cost development environments", but harder to imp lement. This feature describes the solution of one company to the DSP syste m development problem demonstrated by means of an example of a V.34/V.42 mo dern design.
