Abstract
Under the mild condition, allyl bromide/Zn mediated reductive N,O-diallylat ion of nitrobenzene was observed. In case of o-nitroarenes such as 2-nitrob enzaldehyde derivatives, 2'-nitroacetophenone, and N-(2-nitrobenzylidene)an ilines, reductive cyclizations were accomplished in good to excellent yield s. Synthesis and mechanistic details are discussed.
